Nick Dougherty may only be 26 years old but he is already regarded as one of Europe’s and, indeed, the world’s best young players. His potential, recognised by many in the game since his early teens, has been coupled with some fine results around the globe. Nick has developed a unique relationship with Britain’s greatest golfer, Nick Faldo, who says about his young protégé: “I firmly believe that Nick has the ability to go all the way. Not only is he an exceptional golfing talent but he also has an extremely warm personality to go with it.”

Nick enjoyed a fantastic amateur career, culminating in being a star member of the victorious Walker Cup Team in August 2001. Nick progressed from winning the World Boys Championship in 1999 and Faldo Junior Series three times to being hugely successful representing the men’s England and GB&I teams. Nick represented England 74 times (Boys & Men). He also won the World Cup of Golf in Buenos Aires.

Nick secured his European Tour card for 2002 through Qualifying School, winning Stage One and finishing 3rd in the Final Qualifying Tournament, underlining his ability to perform under the most severe pressure.
